노하우를 영어로 know-how라고 하는데(duh),  이것이외에 “발음하기 재미있어서 ” 은근 자주 쓰이는 또다른 표현이있다.

know-how라는 단어를 냅두고, 왜 이런 표현이 있을까? 그건 바로 이 phrase가 가지는 alliteration(두운법)이 때문이 아닐까싶다. 즉 Tricks of the Trade에서 t 발음의 반복성으로 인해 말할때 “재미”있기때문이다.
[주의점]
tricks of the trade는 대화체에서 많이쓰이고, know-how는글에서 많이쓰인다.
구글 ngram을 써봐도 책에서는 know-how가 훨씬 많이 쓰이는것을 볼수있다.
